Description
A humidifier tells you it is running. It does not tell you whether the room has actually reached a comfortable humidity, and the honest answer is often no in a large room, or far past it in a small one. Ten dollars of hygrometer settles the question.
The display shows temperature and humidity together with a plain reading of dry, comfort or wet, so you do not need to remember that 40 to 60 percent is the range you are aiming for. It refreshes every 10 seconds and keeps a record of the highest and lowest readings, which is how you find out what is happening overnight.
It stands on a shelf or sticks to anything metal with the magnetic back. A AAA battery is in the box. People also use these in greenhouses, cellars, humidors and reptile tanks.
