This does what a basic hygrometer does, and then keeps the history. Two years of temperature and humidity readings sit on your phone, exportable as a spreadsheet, with a 20-day graph you can actually read.
The practical use is alerts. Set the range you want a room to stay inside and the app tells you when it drifts out, whether you are in the next room or away from the house. That matters for a nursery, a wine cellar, a plant shelf or a guitar. The Swiss-made sensor is accurate to about 3 percent on humidity and refreshes every two seconds.
Bluetooth reaches roughly 164 feet with nothing in the way, and there is a 3-inch LCD on the front for when you just want to glance at it. This is a Bluetooth device, not Wi-Fi, so checking it from outside the house needs a Govee hub.
